Mount Zion Academy was established in 1994 with a clear purpose: to provide quality Christian secondary education that develops the whole child — academically, morally, spiritually and socially.

From its inception, the Academy recognised that education is far more than the acquisition of knowledge. It is the deliberate formation of character, the cultivation of wisdom and the preparation of young people to become responsible citizens, compassionate leaders and lifelong learners.

For over three decades, methods have evolved and technology has advanced, but our commitment to academic excellence, Christian values and disciplined character formation has remained constant. What happens if my child is absent or late?

Student attendance and lateness are monitored daily. Where follow-up is needed, Student Support coordinates intervention and parent contact.

How does the school respond to bullying or safeguarding concerns?

Report the concern promptly to Student Support. Safeguarding and behaviour matters are handled through the appropriate welfare route, with confidential reporting available for discreet information.

What happens if a teacher is absent?

HR/Admin verifies teacher attendance and approved cover, while Academic Operations addresses lesson continuity, curriculum gaps and any required academic recovery.

How do I make a complaint?

Is counselling available to students?
